A search for existing Theories of Love surprised my curiosity to find the world lacking of a concrete framework // Sternberg’s Triangle Theory of Love // a static trichotomous proposition;- the one publicly accessible and the one prominent model of which other attempts rip-off from.
Despite having his theory widely received, Sternberg’s approach on which variants were derived are purely anecdotal, repercussion of his background as a psychologist. Upon interpersonal relationships and the nature of human behavior did observational qualitative research gave composition to the theory.
The variants are // non-love, liking or friendship, infatuated love, empty love, romantic love, companionate love, fatuous love and consummate love // - by which all premises are of social behaviors.
A phenomena so ineffable, this thing we call love may never be truly delineated by the human mind, while beyond any possibilities of an empirical examination, we can only devise upon works of our collective intellectual history, as the below framework looks to formulate.

Tracing back to ancient philosophy and history finds us base with The 4 Greek Words for Love that addresses love of four denominators as the basis of selection for all other attributions of love. With seemingly no relation the 4 frequently overlap in studies due to their indistinctive definitions and uncertain etymology.
The 4 Greek Words for Love therefore are defined as fig. 1 below in a bid to deliver a two-dimensional expression of each word, by means of attributed events upon relation of each denominator, along with the bare characteristics of each word.
Bringing human-level activities into the attributed events translates denominators as human-fields in fig. 2 below.
Further charting sees us a pattern of Agápē -/ the Basis of Love /- and Philía -/ the Focal of Affection or Point of Attention /- scaling across the spectrum along the Basis of Love (Agápē), with Érōs and Storgē the two polarities of the spectrum.
With analogous mechanisms, the 4 Greek Words sits upon a Sextant // a navigation instrument which measures the angle between two visible objects // illustrating the below diagram.
Philía is the movable index arm resting along Agápē, where a perfectly centered Agápē represents equilibrium of all the 4 denominators, the subject in assessment rests upon the embodiment of unconditional love.

Today, many misinterpret Érōs as primitive sexual desire / arousal and romantic love, as with the nature of sexuality.
Madness from the Gods // theia mania // as from fig. 3, coined by Platoand Socrates, doesn’t lie just in the sense of Cupid with his arrows, but of allegories on the ontology of man………………………………………………… tbc
